School Fundraiser at Capital Candy Jar

Get something sweet for mom tomorrow, May 10, between noon and 8 p.m. at Capital Candy Jar, 201 15th Street NE. Mention Eliot Hine Middle School and the school will get 30 percent of proceeds.

Day Off Camp With DC Way

DC Way Soccer is offering one-day camps on May 27 and 28. These camps are open to ages 5-14 and held at Tyler Elementary field.

Free Tinkergarten Trial Classes

Tinkergarten is offering two free trial classes: Saturday, May 25 at 10 a.m. and Saturday, June 1 at 10 a.m. at Lincoln Park. Also, sign up for a summer session using the code SUMMER2019 and get 15 percent off. (AJ and I are taking a Tinkergarten class now, and it is very fun–and very muddy. I’m planning a longer review soon.)

Free Karate Class for Adults and Kids

Capital City Karate has established a karate class at the Arthur Capper Rec Center at 1000 5th St SE, Monday and Wednesday evenings, 6-7 p.m. The class is for adults and kids age 9 and up, but kids ages 5-8 will be considered if parents train with them. Register here.

New Moms’ Group Meetup, May 14

A new moms’ group is forming for stay-at-home moms or moms with flexible schedules. The group will meet for breakfast at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, May 14 at Little Pearl. Babies are welcome. Contact lauren.keremedjiev at gmail with questions.
