  • Camp Shenanigans has spots left on Monday for Play in a Day, its day-off camp. Play in a Day is available on all DCPS days off. First through 8th graders take on roles of characters, set designers and production team to put together a theater show. 316 F St NE.
  • Camp Adventura, a Spanish immersion urban adventure camp for ages 3-12, has a few spaces left for each week of summer camp. Each week includes themes with related songs, science activities, crafts and field trips. Find out more and register.
  • Neighborhood mom Jessica Katz is working with the Edlavitch DCJCC to establish a community of Jewish families with young kids on the Hill. Meet Jessica and more families with children ages 0-3 to learn about Jewish programming in the neighborhood. Sign up.
  • Capitol Hill Arts Workshop and Ginny Filer Photography are offering 15-minute mini photo sessions for children, families and well behaved dogs on Saturday, June 20, 9 a.m.-noon. Support CHAW and Ginny, a great local photographer (see mini session photo of AJ and me below). Includes 5-10 lightly edited digital photos with option to order prints online for $165, with half the proceeds going to CHAW.
