Preschool Spots Still Available at Capitol Hill Cooperative Nursery School

If you are regretting not getting your rug rat enrolled in preschool this fall, do not despair. Capitol Hill Cooperative Nursery School (CHCNS) has slots available for children who were 2.5 by Sept. 1, 2019.

CHCNS is a teacher-lead, parent-run cooperative school. Director and lead teacher Frances Slaughter, a fixture in the Capitol Hill community, has been at the helm for more than 30 years.

Tuition is kept low by the cooperative sharing of the many tasks involved in the running of a successful preschool.  Parents volunteer for jobs that best suits their skills and aptitudes.

Philosophy

CHCNS is inspired and influenced by the theories from the Reggio Emilia schools and Montessori programs. These offer a framework for educating young learners based upon the individual interests of each child. For more details visit: http://www.chcns.us/about-chcns/philosophy-curriculum/
