
This Saturday, Oct. 19, you have your choice of fall festivals. Or you can hit both of them up! Here are the deets.
Maury Elementary Fall Festival
WHAT: Food, music, haunted house, arts and crafts,
face painting, carnival games, and the ever popular cake walk.
WHERE: Maury Elementary, 1250 Constitution Ave NE. Enter from the playground.
WHEN: Saturday, Oct. 19, 10 a.m.-2 p.m.
WHY: Help Maury 5th graders raise money to go to Space Camp.
COST: Purchase bracelets in advance for $25 here or at the door for $30. The price of the bracelet includes:
- One hot dog or muffin, one soda or water and one piece of fruit
- Face painting
- Unlimited carnival games, arts and crafts, haunted house, and three turns at the cake walk
Food and activity tickets will be sold at the door for $1 each.

Van Ness Elementary Fall Festival

WHAT: Arts and crafts, games and prizes, apple cider and snacks, DC Slices food truck, family fall portraits.
WHERE: Van Ness Elementary grounds, 1150 5th St SE
WHEN: Saturday, Oct. 19, 2-5 p.m.
COST: Entry is free; food and activity tickets are $1 each. Family portraits are $40–reserve your slot here.
