The 11th annual Kingman Island Bluegrass and Folk Festival is set for May 2, and as of right now you can still get an early-bird ticket for $25 (prices will go up after the lineup is announced, which is expected this month).
Here’s the kid-relevant info: This is a family-friendly music festival held on the banks of the Anacostia River. Kids ages 10 and under are FREE. The festival includes outdoor activities and a kids’ zone.
The festival also features food trucks, craft beer and cocktails, local merchants and more fun. Proceeds support stewardship of the island and education programming by the Living Classrooms Foundation.
The Kingman Island Bluegrass and Folk Festival is a Zero-Waste Festival. Organizers ask that attendees bring no disposable water bottles or food containers to the event.
Early-bird tickets are $25 and VIP tickets (includes expedited entry and complimentary beer/cocktails) are $125. Read more here.
