
This is the week to register for DC Department of Parks and Recs camps, the most affordable in the city with options as low as $40 and $55 per week. Registration opens for different camp types each day this week at noon. Word on the street is that many of the camps are filled within minutes of opening, with waitlists offered.
Camps run June 24-Aug. 21 in one- and two-week sessions for age groups from 3 to 13. Camps include general recreation as well as sports, ballet, Spanish language, engineering and aquatics. They are offered at rec center and school locations all around DC. The locations on or near the Hill include: Arthur Capper Rec Center, Sherwood Rec Center and Maury Elementary.
