Isolated snow showers are expected at Eastern Market, beginning midday today, 11 a.m.-2 p.m., and picking up again in the evening, 4-7 p.m. This weather pattern will repeat weekdays through March 20. What?!
Piquing the curiosity of neighbors, snow machines have been installed in the trees lining C Street SE between 7th and 8th streets. The snow comes courtesy of Eastbanc, a developer of 700 Penn, which I believe wants to console us over the lack of Snowmageddon, Snowpocalypse and Snowzilla this winter.
In addition to the snow, there will be games for families 4-7 p.m. I learned everything I know about this from this tweet from Eastern Market Main Street.
I am looking forward to seeing if C Street becomes a winter wonderland this week!
