Hello, neighbors! My son AJ and I have enjoyed many baby and toddler/preschooler activities in the neighborhood. There is so much to do right here in on the Hill, and I find I keep discovering more.
In March 2019, a couple of mom friends asked me: “How did you find out about Tinkergarten?” and “Where did you hear about the Rocknoceros show at Pie Shop DC?” It occurred to me that there was no centralized place to find Hill-specific info about kids’ activities. Capitol Hill Kid (CHK) was born to be that place!
I launched with three resources that I compiled:
- CHK’s Big List of Activities/Classes for Babies
- CHK’s Big List of Activities/Classes for Toddlers and Preschoolers
- CHK’s Big List of All the Free Things
The above lists are based on my research and bolstered by feedback from friends and local business people. Am I missing something? Email me at cory@capitolhillkid.com with suggestions.
I am planning additional resource guides such as CHK’s Big List of Hill Activities for Elementary-Age Kids, a guide to local summer and day-off camps and perhaps sport- or interest-specific guides. I will blog about recommended activities and destinations. I hope to add a newsletter.
Thanks for coming! Your comments are very welcome.
