Summer Camps 2021: It’s On!

Wow! There are a lot of options for camp this summer–arts, outdoor adventures, coding, drama, yoga. I ran through my outdated list of summer camps and found all of those that are registering now (or soon) for in-person camp this summer. At the bottom, I have listed camps that ran in the past but haven’t yet updated with 2021 info.

Camps Registering Now or Soon:

Adventure Camp DC (Mr. Tony’s): Mr. Tony’s is offering closed (you organize a group of families) or open (you get matched with neighborhood families) outdoor pods for summer. Ages 3+. See more.

Adventures on the Hill: Registering now for ages 3+. See more.

Boolean Girl: Coding camp with sessions at the Hill Center for 3rd graders and up. See more.

Breathing Space: Yoga camp is back and registering kids kindergarten and up. See more.

Busy Bees: Arts, music and outdoor adventures. Currently full for some weeks, so act fast. Ages 2+. See more.

Camp Shakespeare: The Shakespeare Theatre Company’s drama camp is already full for some sessions. Ages 7+. See more.

Capitol Hill Arts Workshop: Half-day arts adventure camp. Pre-K and up. See more.

Capitol Hill Cooperative Nursery School: Fun and learning for ages 2.5+. See more.

Capitol Hill Day School: This year, camps are open ONLY to CHDS students. See more.

DC-ICE: Registration for skating camp will open on May 1 for kids 6+. See more.

DC Way Soccer: Registration is open for kids 5+. See more.

Department of Parks and Recreation: Registration opened on March 22, and usually these camps fill up immediately. See more.

Homerun Baseball Camp: The camp is preregistering for camp without fees while waiting for permission from the city. Some weeks are already filled. See more.

Joy of Motion: Dance camps for ages 6+. See more.

Mad Science: The camp is registering for sessions held at locations including the Hill Center for kids kindergarten and up. See more.

Polite Piggy’s: Polite Piggy’s is offering half-day, outdoor play groups for kids 3+. See more.

Soccer Stars: Registering for camps at locations including Providence Park for kids 3+. See more.

Steve and Kate’s Camp: In past years, this camp had a Hill location. This year, the DC location is up in Georgetown. Ages 4+. See more.

Studio One Dance: This dance camp is registering, but will make a decision on June 15 about whether camp will be virtual or in-person. Ages 3+. See more.

Urban Adventure Squad: This camp is currently full/waitlisted for some summer weeks, but will open registration for additional weeks upcoming. Rising 1st graders and up. See more.
