A Look Inside the Lane, the Family Club Opening Tomorrow in Ivy City

The Lane’s large building is nestled in near neighbors Planet Fitness, the Hecht Warehouse, Gravitas, Pidzza and Bad Axe Throwing in Ivy City.

Capitol Hill Kid took a sneak peek inside the Lane, the new family club in Ivy City that is set to open tomorrow, Feb. 15, at 1408 Okie St NE. I have photos and descriptions of some of the features to share below. Overall: I can’t wait to bring my 3.5-year-old here, and relax by the bar while he tears up the ball pit. I am also looking forward to getting invited to birthday parties at this location!

Main Level

The first thing that catches the eye inside is the big, spiral slide that descends from the second level to the main level.

A view of part of the main level.
Also on the main level is a bar and cafe. Check out the menu here.
Two faces of climbing wall are 10 feet high.
The ball pit boasts 20,000 balls (bigger than it looks in this pic).
There are multiple areas in the open space, including this toddler play area.

Second Level

Upstairs, kids can enter a rope walk that goes around the room and back down to the main level.
There is yet another bar area.
The large party room. See more about birthday parties at the Lane.
A cozy private nursing nook.
The upstairs level also has a giant outdoor space that will be a great place to play in warmer months.

Find out more about the Lane at its website and follow on Instagram at @thelanesocialclub. While the Lane opens tomorrow, it will also hold an all-day grand opening party on Feb. 23, with face-painting, music, magic, dancing and more. Tickets are $25 per child (adults are free).
