Get Ahead of the February Break: Day-Off Camps on the Hill

DC-ICE is one of the camps on the Hill that covers the February break. Did you know? DC-ICE also offers door-to-door transportation.

If you need coverage for the DCPS days off this Monday and Tuesday, I hope you’re already sorted. As a new PK3 parent this year, I was shocked by the number of days off in the school calendar, and especially that there is a February break (the four days following President’s Day) as well as a spring break in April!

Well, there is plenty of time to get ahead of those breaks. Check out your options at Day-Off Camps on the Hill. There is a note in the intro about which take preschoolers.

DC-ICE (minimum age: 6), pictured above, was a favorite of mine for my stepson, now aged out of camp. The kids really get a workout! Depending on the weather and the season, camp might be held at Anacostia Park Skating Pavilion (roller skating, open air), Fort Dupont Ice Arena (ice skating, indoor) or Canal Park (ice skating, outdoor). Something special about DC-ICE is that they offer door-to-door transportation, morning and evening.
